My participation in the JCIC internship has helped me to hone my clinical skills in several important ways. I have become a more well-rounded clinician who can effectively assess, diagnose, conceptualize, and provide treatment for clients with diverse presenting concerns. Most importantly, I have felt supported, challenged, and encouraged by the supervisors in this program (as well as by my co-interns and co-workers), making for an overwhelmingly positive and enriching experience. I highly recommend the JCIC internship to other students looking to further develop their skills and be ready to enter the field as a doctoral level psychologist.
